Our future is uncertain because our knowledge is imperfect. We must embrace uncertainty to be fulfilled in our lives because uncertainty is ever-present.

Epistemic uncertainty is defined as those uncertainties due to simplifying assumptions, missing physical data, or our basic lack of knowledge. Epistemic uncertainty is limited by our understanding of what we know (knowledge) and our choices in applying the knowledge (judgment).

Aleatoric uncertainty is those uncertainties inherent to a problem or to an event that cannot be reduced by additional knowledge. Additional observations or experiments may help narrow the uncertainty, but there is a natural error of lack of clarity or precision. Aleatoric uncertainty is also known as statistical uncertainty or irreducible uncertainty.

We will never understand all of the unknowns. We will never erase all of our biases. Embrace uncertainty.
